I am interviewing with my current employer for the CFO role. (This is in Australia)
The interview process is initial interview with a recruitment agency (about 1 hour) with then a short list going to through a company interview panel (CEO plus director).
Should I close in the interview with the recruitment agency?
Other info: business is a utility, $12B in assets and 3000 people.
Thanks
Darryl
Absolutely
Do you believe that the recruiter interviewing you has any influence or control over who progresses? (hint: if they have absolutely no skin in the game, why are they interviewing you?) If so, you should definitely close them. Assuming you're not doing it completely ham-fistedly and making people feel uncomfortable, it can't hurt your chances, and it may move you from "hmm... perhaps not" to "hmm... OK, I'll put him through".
